Be Bold Series: Boudoir Photos

misfit

I discovered the amazing Misfit 29 Studios on Instagram and it was love at first sight. They produce the most amazing and quality photos I’ve ever seen. I included only one photo from my shoot due to privacy but trust me the outcome and quality of my photos is amazing! Their work is both sexy and bold with a touch of glam! Instantly, I knew I wanted to work with them. I’ve had this feeling lately that I want to do something bold. Something that would be outside my comfort zone and something I could treasure. An investment for me is the best way I can explain it.

After discovering Misfit 29 Studios, I knew I wanted to try out boudoir style photography. I’m not going to lie. I was incredibly nervous. The women they have worked with are stunning. I decided I wasn’t going to let any self-doubt stop me. As women, I feel we’re taught to not be happy with our bodies, find flaws, and always strive to be a better version of what we are. What if, we celebrated our bodies for what they are? How beautiful would that be? For me, this photo shoot was just that. It was beautiful, fun, empowering, and bold. I loved it. These photos are a frozen spot in time where I feel like a completely sexy bombshell!

Feeling Bold

I left the shoot on a high of feeling bold, beautiful, empowered, and ready to start a new chapter in my life. A chapter where I don’t worry about what my body should or could be. Instead, I’m celebrating everything my body currently is. The day after my photo shoot I felt amazing, filled with new positive vibes, and free of self-doubts. That feeling has remained since.

I encourage any woman to schedule a boudoir shoot but of course, we need to talk safety. Be smart, make sure you research the photographer, make sure the photographer has a legitimate business with a positive reputation. Do your research, look for positive reviews, and review their past work. All of this is for safety reasons as well as quality reasons. If you want quality work you need to be safe and do your research. Additionally, you need to have rules set in place of how the photos will be distributed. For me, I booked a private shoot because I wanted my photos to be private and for my use only.

The most important tip I have is to be safe, have a vision for your shoot, but trust the photographer and their vision as well. If you’ve seen the photographers work and love it, then trust them. Check out Misfit 29 Studios, their work is beyond amazing.
