Summer Flashback: The Chambray Shirt

Summer flashbacks are happening in this post. Summer is over but guess what? You don’t have to give up all your favorite summer pieces. I’m carrying over my favorite chambray shirt into fall with touches of cognac and chestnut. I’m not one of those people who pack up their clothes and store them season to season. To be completely honest I don’t even know how to begin the process of season storage. My wardrobe goals are mix it up and keep it flowing. Meaning, I want to be able to transition as many of my wardrobe pieces season to season as possible.

I wore chambray style shirts in various ways all spring and summer. I own many different styles of this shirt and each serves a different purpose in styling my outfits (or at least I think they do). This chambray shirt can be transitioned into fall in endless ways. So far, I’ve paired it with numerous outfits, including skirts.

Adding Touches of Vintage Inspiration

I love to mix in either true or vintage inspired pieces into my outfits. The fading in this shirt gives it a worn-in vintage feel while still being polished. For this look, I wanted a light 70’s vibe so I added touches of cognac and chestnut to achieve the look. The gold tone accent of the booties added the final finishing touches. I purchased these Coach booties last season and I didn’t start wearing them until this season. Now I’m in love with them! I’ll definitely be restyling this shirt and these booties throughout the season. I’m adding my outfit details below along with some similar items. Enjoy!
