Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex

I’m teamed up with Exuviance today and talking about the Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m on a serious skin care and improvement streak. My goal is to improve my skin and work against the signs of aging (fine lines, etc.) that have appeared in my 30’s. Being in my 30’s, I’ve realized that great skin requires upkeep and care. I have oily skin but at times my skin is more combination than oily. I’m often battling both oil and dryness. Sensitivity is another issue that has appeared in my 30’s.

I’m focused on using products that offer quality ingredients designed to improve and maintain healthy skin. I also look for a clear brand and product message. I’ve had the opportunity to use some great products lately and I’ve noticed an improvement in the little lines on my face and in the overall texture of my skin. You can check out some of the products here and here.

Skin care can be confusing at times. Traditionally, I think I need to cleanse, tone, moisturize, and alternate exfoliation once a week with a mask or scrub. I find myself questioning which steps are needed and which steps are not needed for my skin. I also question how often I need to do each step. How often do I exfoliate, tone, and deep moisturize?  I honestly don’t think there is a one size fits all answer. I think skin care is unique to the person. Sure, there are basics we can all follow but the exact routine is something we all need to experiment with and find what works for our unique skin type.

Due to my oily skin, I used to skip moisturizer. I found that skipping moisturizer was actually causing more oil production. I was stripping my skin of oil through cleansing, toning, or exfoliation then not putting moisture back. Since incorporating moisturizer into my skin care routine I’ve noticed the oil production is more tolerable.

Winter in my area can be harsh on my face. One step I’ve noticed really helps me during the winter months is to use a cream specifically formulated for nighttime repair. A nighttime repair cream helps to give my skin deep moisture when the elements are stripping moisture away.

The Exuviance evening Restorative Complex is a night treatment that conditions and hydrates. The repair cream contains Hyaluronic Acid to help restore suppleness and elasticity to the skin. I’ve been very interested in products that contain Hyaluronic Acid due to the effects against aging.

How I’m using the product

I’ve incorporated this product into my nighttime routine a couple of times a week. My routine is to wash my skin then apply the cream afterward before bedtime. On the nights I use the cream I skip toning and exfoliation as personal preference due to the sensitivity of my skin. I like the lightweight texture and smoothness of the product during and after application. This is a product I feel will have cumulative benefits with ongoing use. I’m going to keep using the Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex as needed as part of my deep moisture routine.
