Hello 34!

Restyle: Dresses and OTK Boots

About a month ago I turned 34 years old. 34 is awesome, can’t even hide it. I can remember being in my 20’s and thinking – 30 is so old. I’d like to go back in time and smack my 20 something old self. My 30’s have been by far the best years of my life. I’m a woman and I feel like a full-grown woman more so today than any other time of my life. I feel strong, confident, sexy, and driven. I know what I want and what I don’t want in my life more so than ever before. I feel empowered at 34. 34 is a wonderful mix of strength and softness. I feel softer and more loving towards others. I also feel stronger as both a person and a woman. It’s a beautiful mysterious mix.

I’m encouraging you to embrace your 30’s

I’m encouraging you to embrace your 30’s. You’re a woman. You’re not beyond productive years because you’re 30 or older. You’re not a loaf of bread with an expiration date my friend. I think society teaches women that part of our worth is defined by our beauty and age. Not true, not even close. Let me say it again, you’re a woman and you’ll continue being a woman way past age 30. You’re going to change both inside and outside each year.

Your beauty is ageless. beauty is more than pre-formed standards of beauty. Your beauty will change and grow as you enter each new decade of life. Your likes, dislikes, goals, and passions will change. Change is the beauty of it! Your beauty is more than your skin and outside appearance. Your beauty is inside your heart, your personality, your love, your dislikes, and inside your amazing mind.

Your beauty is YOU.  We age year by year. Each year and each decade brings a whole new world of change. Embrace your age. Your age is but a number. I’m a fairly confident and positive person but I sometimes have negative internal dialogue. I’ve learned that negative internal dialogue is worthless. Turn that junk off and start talking to yourself as you would talk to others. Be strong, be confident, be bold, be a boss woman!
