Just Another Manic Monday


Spring is in the air and I can feel the winter blues lifting. I’m back with another post to motivate your Monday. Let me start with a moment of honesty. I hate Monday. In fact, I have been known to be sad on a Sunday because I hate Monday so much. I tend to get tired of mundane things and the Monday – Friday 8a-5p hustle can suck the life right out of you.

So, today I’m going to give you my tips to get your mind ready for the week! These are some of my favorite silly things I do to prepare myself for yet another Manic Monday. Let’s get started!

First things first you need a Monday Playlist. This is a real thing! I have an entire Spotify playlist filled with songs to motivate my Monday. Music is good for both the ears and the soul. I have over 100 songs that give me an instant mood perk. Go ahead and get started on that playlist.

Next, make sure you set aside some “you” time. If you run 7 days a week you are bound to get stressed to the max. Set aside some time to relax, journal, take a bubble bath, watch a movie or workout. Do whatever makes you feel relaxed and centered. I know the week and weekend go by in the blink of an eye but in my opinion, it’s important to set aside some time that is meant for only You. My hobbies are photography, writing, reading, poetry, research, (yes that is a real thing I do where I pick a topic of interest and read my little heart out about it), and much more. I try to set aside some time on Saturday or Sunday where I do one of the things I love.

Lastly, think positive! It may sound super small but being positive is one of the most simple things you can do to make your day, week, month, and life better. Of course, you are entitled to a bad mood or two but trust me being positive is the best weapon you have against the Monday Blues.

Think of your goals and make a list of what you want to accomplish each week. Then set your mind on the positive track to do it! I often make a list of my weekly goals on my phone, journal, day planner, or whatever is handy.

My most important tip is to relax and enjoy this crazy life! My Dad gave me some wonderful wisdom last week. He said “You can’t control the wind but you can control your sails”.
