I love a great simple and polished look. Remember last Spring when I broke my toe and was forced into flip flops for several weeks? Yeah, that was fun. Well, when I was rocking my flip-flops for a few weeks I loved some of the simple and polished looks I put together (post here). Flash forward, and I still love simple and polished looks, especially for work.
I work in a mostly relaxed environment and I can wear jeans and heels daily if I want. I’m a huge fan of jeans, heels, and casually tucked in button-down shirts. I instantly feel polished and ready to take on the day. One of the main reasons I love a tucked in top is because of my shape. I’m pear-shaped, meaning, my hips are broad with a smaller top and waist. If you’re pear-shaped, accenting your waist with a tucked-in top is a great way to rock your curvy hips and flatter your smaller waist. I’m not a fan of downplaying curves, but I do like to draw attention to areas that help to flatter my overall shape as a whole. Rock your curves!
I’ve worn these Levi’s shaping skinnies multiple times throughout winter and fall and I love them (previous post here). I paired them with a simple striped button-down and one of my favorite pairs of heels. I’ve styled these Sam Edelman pumps multiple times and they’re super comfortable (post here and here). This simple and polished look is a perfect transition into Spring look. When the weather warms up I’ll wear this look without the cardigan. Each piece is linked below. Enjoy!
