Spring has arrived and I’ve been wearing tons of colors. I can’t help it though, I always love simple and polished looks I can wear on Monday or Saturday (previous looks here and here). My eyes are always drawn to pieces that will last awhile. I don’t typically hop onboard trends. Sometimes it happens though. Occasionally, I spot a trend and I’m like oh yeah, gotta try that. Those are my exact thoughts about loafers and slides. I’ve always loved loafers, it must be something about my love of vintage style. Probably because I love to create looks that are a mix of feminine and masculine.
When I spot a trend I want to try, I keep the price less expensive so there’s no guilt when I’m over it. I knew I wouldn’t be purchasing a high-end pair. I purchased these slides on Jane c/o of Jane. When I found these slides I instantly thought, please have my size. Score! they had my size! I’ve shopped with Jane before (previous post) and I love this daily deal site. There are some wonderful fashion, accessories, and home items available from independent sellers. The fun is, you never know what you’ll find. You may just find a wonderful pair of slides or a fun summer top.
When I try a trend, I prefer to keep the look minimal. For this look, I knew I wanted to keep things simple. I paired my favorite pair of Joe’s Jeans with a casual chiffon top and my favorite trench. I’ve worn this trench before and I knew I’d wear it again when Spring arrived. I added a classic bag and my new loafers to complete the look.
